Trials

Q: Do all plugins have a free trial?

A: Yes. Every paid Kiive plugin has a free 14-day trial. It's the full plugin running in your DAW with no feature restrictions and there no credit card required to trial anything. Download it from the product page, install it, and use it on whatever you're working on.

Q: Can I extend my trial if I need more time?

A: Reach out to support@kiiveaudio.com and let us know what you need. We handle these on a case-by-case basis.

Q: Do I need to create an account to start a trial?

A: A trial processes through checkout as a $0 order, so you'll create an account during that process. That same account is where your license key will appear if you decide to buy.

Purchasing and Licensing

Q: How do I get my license key after purchasing?

A: Your license key is delivered instantly by email after checkout. You can also find it anytime by logging into your Kiive Audio account and checking your order history.

Q: I can't find my license key. Where do I look?

A: Log into your account at kiiveaudio.com and go to your Orders page. Every purchase and its associated license key is listed there. If you still can't find it, email support@kiiveaudio.com and we'll sort it out.

Q: Can I install on more than one computer?

A: Yes. You can install and authorize on up to three machines at the same time.

Q: Are updates free?

A: Yes. Every plugin purchase includes free updates for life. Compatibility patches, feature additions, and improvements are all included. No subscriptions or upgrade fees.

Q: Do you offer bundle pricing?

A: Yes. We offer Pick 2 and Pick 3 bundles where you choose the plugins you want at a flat discounted price. There's also a Complete Collection bundle if you want everything. Check the Plugins page for current pricing.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay through our secure checkout. Your payment information is processed securely and never stored on our servers.

Formats and Compatibility

Q: What plugin formats do you support?

A: VST3, AU, and AAX on both macOS and Windows. All plugins are 64-bit only.

Q: Are your plugins compatible with Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3)?

A: Yes. All Kiive plugins run natively on Apple Silicon. No Rosetta required.

Q: What are the minimum system requirements?

A: 1 GHz Intel Dual Core or AMD equivalent (PC), 4 GB RAM, macOS 10.14 or higher (recommended), Windows 7 or higher, screen resolution 1024x768 or higher, 64-bit DAW.

Q: My Mac won't open the installer. What do I do?

A: If macOS blocks the installer, right-click (or Control-click) the installer file and select "Open" from the menu. This bypasses the Gatekeeper warning for that file. You only need to do this once.

Plugin Alliance Products

Q: What happened to Tape Face and XTcomp?

A: Tape Face and XTcomp are now available exclusively through Plugin Alliance as updated versions. They are not sold through kiiveaudio.com. If you're a Plugin Alliance subscriber, both are included in the Mega Bundle. Note that the Plugin Alliance versions are not backwards compatible with sessions using the original Kiive versions.

Support

Q: How do I reach support?

A: Email support@kiiveaudio.com. We're a small team and you'll always be talking to a real person. We typically respond within 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Q: I'm having a technical issue with a plugin. What should I include in my email?

A: Let us know which plugin and current version you're running, your DAW and version, your operating system, and a description of what's happening. Screenshots or a short screen recording help us diagnose things faster.
