Drive it harder without the brittle top end
Drive moves from controlled harmonic thickening into heavier saturation. As the harmonics build, Warmth dynamically suppresses the resonances that begin to poke out.
Add weight, density and grit while keeping the upper mids controlled instead of letting them turn sharp or brittle.
Focus the distortion
HPF and LPF clean the lows and highs around the saturated signal, while Shaper controls the transient after the distortion.
Tighten an overloaded low end, smooth the top, add punch or soften the initial hit without reaching for another processor.
Shape how the distortion reacts
Stereo Distortion does not apply the same fixed response to everything you feed it. Dyn controls how much the saturation sags as the input gets louder, while Age changes how quickly the harmonic stage recovers between peaks.
Keep it fast and controlled for cleaner harmonic density, or slow the response down for grittier, more compressed distortion that leans into the dynamics.
Paradox Advanced Controls
Open the ADV panel to control where the distortion sits in the stereo field, how strongly it responds to level and how precisely Warmth targets resonant buildup.
LF Bump
Feeds low-frequency energy into the saturation process itself, adding another way to build weight and harmonic character from the bottom end.
M/S Focus
Focus the distortion to just mid processing or move the effect to process just the sides only.
Dyn
Introduces signal-dependent supply sag, so the saturation changes with input level instead of behaving like one fixed response.
Age
Changes the memory and recovery of the harmonic stage, moving from a more worn and lingering character toward something faster and cleaner.
Warmth Frequency
Focuses additional resonance control around a selected frequency.
Warmth Depth
Controls how much additional suppression is applied around that area.
Warmth Speed
Controls how quickly the suppression recovers after the resonance falls away.
