Reminiscent of the character of a vintage analog compressor. The knee control adds the versatility needed for a variety of instrument uses. I particularly like it's performance on snare and kick drums and also basses. I haven't had it long, but I can see this unit will work well for more applications, right out of the starting gate.

Excellent compressor! Basic feature set. But just what is needed.

XTMax is a welcome addition to my studio setup. It may be a slimmed down version of its big brother. But it's got the bases covered. Excellent compressor!

Good little comp

It looks nothing like a distressor but the "vibe" is there! Very basic and easy to use.
I appreciate the stock presets that are a good starting point especially when a have limited time available.
I'm now curious to try his big brother.
