Each module brings a different set of controls and a different approach to the sound. Pick a preamp, EQ and compressor to build the channel strip you want.
Preamps
Preamp II
Try the second preamp for another take on German console color. Its two saturation modes, Mix control and output trim let you build up the harmonics while keeping control of the level.

EQ I
Three bands with selectable frequencies give you room to shape the balance. Switch the low and high bands between bell and shelf, then use the filters to trim the extremes.

Shape the lows and highs around an inductor-based midrange. The Presence section lets you choose where to bring the middle of your sound forward or pull it back.

Fixed low and high bands keep broad tonal moves simple. The adjustable Presence frequency gives you a focused way to change the midrange without losing that direct approach.
Compressors
Compressor I
Opto-style compression with fixed timing lets you focus on how much movement you want. Choose Normal or Bus, filter the sidechain and blend the compressed signal with the original.

VCA-style compression gives you adjustable attack and recovery, with ratios extending into limiting. Bass Cut and De-Ess change how the detector responds, while Mix brings the dry signal back in.

A different order can change the sound.
Drag the modules into the order you want in Filkchannel. EQ before compression changes the balance going into the compressor; EQ after it lets you adjust the tone of the compressed sound. Move the preamp too, and compare the complete chain.
