Choose each stage
Choose a complete console-style chain or create your own combination. KStrip gives you the range to keep experimenting and the control to make those choices part of your mix.
The preamp, EQ and compressor each give you an independent choice of A, N or S. Pair the N preamp with the A EQ and S compressor, or choose a matching set when you want one design across the three stages.
Preamp
The three preamp designs give you plenty to explore before you start adjusting their harmonics.
With independent odd and even controls alongside Drive, you can develop the saturation character within each design and find combinations that fit your taste.
Auto Gain links Drive and Trim to help compensate for the extra level as you push the preamp.
EQ
Each of KStrip’s three four-band EQ designs has its own curves, frequency ranges and shaping options, giving you more than one way to get the tone you want.
Switch between shelf and peak shapes on the A and S designs, or use the S mid bands’ Hi Q option for tighter adjustments.
Band Solo lets you hear the frequency area you’re working on before deciding what to boost or cut.
Compression
Choose from three compressor designs and shape the dynamic response around your sound, from smooth level control to more assertive compression.
Adjust attack and release to control how much impact comes through and how the compression recovers, then use Mix to blend stronger compression with the original sound.
The sidechain high-pass filter reduces how strongly the low end drives the compressor, giving you more control over its reaction.
Stereo processing
KStrip brings its preamp, EQ and compressor designs into mid/side processing.
Give the sides their own EQ balance or preamp character while shaping the center separately.
Your channel strip becomes a way to work on the stereo arrangement itself.
Transient shaping & width
KStrip brings transient shaping and stereo control into the same channel strip. Sharpen or soften transients, reshape the sustain, or open up the width of stereo material alongside your console processing.
The width section also includes a high-pass control that reduces the low end’s involvement in widening, letting you focus the added spread higher in the spectrum.
With KStrip you get more ways to shape the impact and stereo image from one plugin.
Global Link
Global Link lets you audition the A, N and S modules while keeping corresponding settings linked.
Your setups, ready for the next session
When you find a combination you love, save it as a preset and return to it in your next session. You can also save your favorite setup as KStrip’s default, so it opens the way you want to mix.
A/B comparison keeps two versions of your settings ready to audition, so you can explore another combination while keeping the one you already like.
