Where songs wake up.
Some plugins you mix with, some you use to write with. VC Rotary is built to inspire your music regardless of how you use it.
The moment the rotary starts turning, a static chord suggests its own next move, a pad starts to breathe, and suddenly you start reaching for notes you weren't originally planning on using.
Underneath it all is a proper rotary engine, with a low drum and a high horn spinning at their own speeds, ramping between slow and fast for endless inspiration.
Six voices to choose from.
Three vibratos run from a gentle 3 cent drift to a wide, dramatic wobble.
Three choruses go from a delicate shimmer to a thick, animated ensemble.
Layer one in front of the rotors and the whole soundscape gets deeper and more dimensional, or shut the rotary section off and run them completely on their own. The left and right ride the same LFO 90 degrees apart, so every mode comes out stereo.
A cabinet that moves.
X-Over splits the signal into a low drum and a high horn, each with its own speed, range, and personality.
Set them apart for that classic contrast, or sync both to the session when the rotary swirl needs to sit in the pocket.
Drive with personality.
The saturation stage runs a tube style curve with a fixed ceiling and compensated output, so turning it up adds harmonics and softens transients without turning the plugin into a volume knob.
Push into it for some hair on the edges or keep it barely warm. When you need to keep it clean, switch THD off and the whole plugin runs with no added color at all.
One screen, a lot of depth.
The lit Paradox screen is the command center.
The main page keeps it simple with a wet dry mix, linked input and output, and meters you can calibrate to your own reference level.
Flip the ADV switch and the deeper control set appears: independent rotor speeds, FX Depth to scale the motion from pure tremolo to full pitch swirl, Roto Blend for sneaking spin under a part, plus Mic Offset, and the cabinet filter.
Use it for simplicity when you're just writing, or go further when you need to.
Advanced presets menu
With every paradox effect, we put a preset menu that affects just the advanced features within the unit, separate from the global preset menu that changes the entire state of the plugin.
Use this to shoot out specific advanced presets you enjoy between other controls you already have dialed to keep your creativity flowing.
