What formats and DAWs are supported?

VST3, AU, and AAX on both macOS and Windows. If your DAW supports any of those formats, you're good. We test against Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton Live, Cubase, FL Studio, Studio One, and Reaper, but it works in anything that loads standard plugin formats.

How do I authorize my license?

Open the plugin in your DAW, enter your license key in the registration field, and click activate. You get 3 seats per license so you can run it on your studio machine, laptop, and a backup without juggling activations.

Does this work on Apple Silicon?

Yes. All current Kiive plugins run natively on Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) and Intel Macs. No Rosetta required.

The American answer to classic British preamps

Chris Yetter and his team at AudioScape designed the Golden58 around the 5879 tube, the US military equivalent of the EF86 found in classic British preamp designs.

Four NOS transformers per unit gave the hardware a warmth and harmonic density that put it in the same conversation as the vintage units it was built to complement.

The hardware was a limited run because those parts aren't available in volume. The plugin makes that circuit permanent.

From subtle warmth to dense saturation

56 dB of gain, a polarity switch, and a voice switch let you shape the character of the saturation across a wide range.

At lower settings the Golden58 adds a warm, round presence to vocals, DI bass, and acoustic instruments. Push the gain and it opens up into harmonically rich territory that works on drums, guitars, synth buses, and full mixes.

The tone shifts gradually rather than hitting a cliff, so you can find the exact amount of tube character you want without overshooting.

Auto-Gain and Output Trims (plugin exclusive)

Auto-Gain keeps your output level consistent as you drive the saturation harder, so you can focus on the tonal change without compensating for volume jumps.

Output Trims give you finer control over how the saturation circuit responds, letting you dial in how much of the tube harmonics reach the output.

Together they make the Golden58 easier to A/B against a clean signal and faster to dial in during a session.
