I just demoed it out of curiosity, after having bought the excellent XBus compressor, and I found the MK609 stunning. It has become my favorite compressor. It really has something special. Kiive does an amazing job with their plugins, congratulations.

Yeah this does the 609 thing

Love my UAD Neve 33609C for that 3d lift as the last lacquer on my mix-bus before limiting. I needed a native solution but was finding the Arturia Diodecomp609 a bit lifeless. So glad I found the Kiive one, it does ‘the thing’ that the Neve 33609 does, that magic 3d lift with transformer low mid heft that makes everything sound like a goddam record. Plus it has modern features like a great width control, oversampling, dial-able thd (listen for that in the upper mids). It’s an absolute stone cold modern classic. If you’re bored of SSL Buscomp, try the ‘609 on your 2 bus - you’ll never look back, why have cotton when you can have silk?

Lovely comp

This is one of the most natural-sounding comps I've ever used. It just makes everything sound so smooth! And it doesn't hurt that it has that separate limiter section too.
