Golden58 · AudioScape stereo tube preamp

Golden58 captures AudioScape’s stereo tube preamp, bringing its rich harmonics and driven character into your DAW. Use Line mode for a gentler touch or switch to Mic and push the gain for more pronounced saturation.

From subtle to saturated
The Gain controls set how hard you drive the preamp, while Line and Mic change both the tone and the harmonics it produces. You can add a light layer of tube color or make the preamp a much bigger presence in your mix.
Line mode gives you the subtler of the two responses. Bring up the gain to find how much of the preamp you want to hear.
Mic mode has a more driven response. Switch it in when you want the saturation to become more prominent in the sound.
More than added harmonics
The Voice setting filters the low end, while Bias changes its tone and the harmonic response. Keep the full bandwidth or try a leaner balance without reaching for another plugin.
Keep the full response, or use the Voice filter to reduce the lowest frequencies.
Adjust the low-end tone and harmonics as you find the right amount of drive.
Keep the comparison useful
Auto-Gain attenuates the output as you increase the input. Use each channel’s output trim to finish the level adjustment.
Link the channels for shared adjustments, unlink them for independent control, or work in mid/side from the toolbar.
The AudioScape collaboration
Developed in collaboration with AudioScape Engineering, Golden58 brings their original 5879 tube preamp design into the plugin, with output trims and Auto-Gain for use in your sessions.
From the people using it
It’s subtle, a lot of uses. Knocked my socks off when I placed it on my parallel drumbus!
