Profoundly Musical Compression

To highlight the lovely saturation the V-Comp is capable of, we’ve added a 4th option to the existing Single, Double and Triple modes. “Bypass”, as the name implies, completely bypasses the compression section of the circuit while still running through the all-tube signal path and big, fat transformers!

The V-Comp has a very gentle knee, which is to be expected from it’s vari-mu design, and allows for incredibly natural sounding compression on most sources.

Great compressor!! Works on everything!

Excellent, shines like nothing else on the market

Great product, versatile, with vintage and modern (bonus not on the hardware) plus a drive switch, THD and sidechain, couldn't get any better. 16x makes it sound analog! (16x uses decent CPU—work great with 2x in playback, 16x when printing.) Looking forward to more like it.

A playful compressor

In the context of STA-level compressors in the box, V-Comp is one of two favorites. I find it to be more playful and less rigid than the competition. It's by no means a negative. If anything, it's a strength, especially if you apply it to more creative material. Be it pre-recorded or live. Although subjective, V-Comp is one of the best STA-level compressors in the box and well worth the asking price.
