What formats and DAWs are supported?

VST3, AU, and AAX on both macOS and Windows. If your DAW supports any of those formats, you're good. We test against Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton Live, Cubase, FL Studio, Studio One, and Reaper, but it works in anything that loads standard plugin formats.

How do I authorize my license?

Open the plugin in your DAW, enter your license key in the registration field, and click activate. You get 3 seats per license so you can run it on your studio machine, laptop, and a backup without juggling activations.

Does this work on Apple Silicon?

Yes. All current Kiive plugins run natively on Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) and Intel Macs. No Rosetta required.

Introducing The AudioScape MK-609 Plugin

The original 1969 diode-bridge compressor became one of the defining sounds in large-format console mixing. AudioScape Engineering redesigned it with modern improvements, and we built the plugin together from their updated circuit.

Three attack modes (including a super-fast setting they added), five ratios, and a sidechain high-pass filter at 50Hz and 100Hz give you more flexibility than the original ever had while keeping the same compression character.

Limiter after the compressor

The limiter section sits after the compressor in the signal flow and handles the final stage of dynamics control.

Use the compressor on its own for glue, the limiter on its own for peak control, or run both together for a complete dynamics chain in one plugin. It smooths drum transients, tightens bass guitar, and controls vocal stacks without making the source feel smaller.

From transparent to aggressive in one knob

At low gain reduction the MK-609 is clean and punchy. Push it harder and the compression starts to move with the music, adding a lively pump that makes drums and mix buses feel alive.

The sidechain HPF keeps low-end energy out of the detector so kick drums and bass don't trigger unwanted gain reduction on the rest of the mix.

Stereo, dual mono, or mid/side

Run both channels linked for standard bus processing, unlinked for independent left/right control, or in mid/side mode to compress the center and sides of a stereo image separately.

Every Kiive plugin includes the top bar with input/output gain, oversampling up to 4x, a mix knob for parallel blending, harmonic distortion control, and stereo width.

This is an exceptional bus compressor

Simply gorgeous! If punchy and transparent had a kid, this would be it. Or you can grab the THD control and make it sound more like a 2254. Really nice diode compressor, excellent on drums too!

I bought several your plugins and they are amazing. Just like they were advertised. Amount of options each plugin has is great. I became a fan. And these plugins are now my go to for absolutely every mix. Really great work guys.

Sounds very well

I am testing the trial so I am not an expert yet.
In my opinion it sounds very well with a quick and snappy response but also a very nice creamy saturation.
4 stars out of 5 because for me it is important also to improve the user experience through a more readable UI. For example, the VU meters are too little and it is a bit complicate reading the GR sometimes. Also, the attack switches are so little and complicate to use, while the bypass switch is frankly too big.

In my view, even if the GUI is not affecting the very nice sound of this compressor, I think that there are valid reasons sometimes to distance yourself from the original HW for the sake of the usability.

Blew us away

We were in the middle of a Single mix and tried a Demo Version of this Plug in on the Mix Bus In Pro Tools. Took us 10 Minutes to realize, we have to have this Plug In. It is superb.
