What formats and DAWs are supported?

VST3, AU, and AAX on both macOS and Windows. If your DAW supports any of those formats, you're good. We test against Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton Live, Cubase, FL Studio, Studio One, and Reaper, but it works in anything that loads standard plugin formats.

How do I authorize my license?

Open the plugin in your DAW, enter your license key in the registration field, and click activate. You get 3 seats per license so you can run it on your studio machine, laptop, and a backup without juggling activations.

Does this work on Apple Silicon?

Yes. All current Kiive plugins run natively on Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) and Intel Macs. No Rosetta required.

The compression people describe as effortless

The V-Comp is AudioScape's recreation of a variable-mu compressor originally designed for broadcast in the 1950s that became one of the most sought-after dynamics tools in studio recording.

Seven tubes and an iron-core transformer produce the weight, density, and harmonic color that define the vari-mu sound. The gentle knee and program-dependent ratio let it shape dynamics naturally rather than clamping down on them, which is why it works so well on vocals, bass, and the mix bus.

Four modes, including a pure saturation bypass

Single, Double, and Triple modes progressively shorten the time constants for faster gain reduction. The fourth mode is Bypass, a feature that removes the compression circuit entirely while keeping your audio running through the full tube signal path and transformers.

It turns the V-Comp into a saturation box when you want the harmonic character without any dynamics processing.

Two compressors in one plugin

The V-Comp includes both the standard V-Comp (6386 Edition) and the V-Comp+ Deluxe (6386 Edition), which adds a mix blend control for parallel compression and sidechain high-pass filter options.
